Lori's yoga journey began over 20 years ago taking classes to relieve stress & anxiety and to improve her overall health and wellbeing. Her intention was to heal, grow and know self-love. In 2016, Lori decided to pursue her Yoga Teacher Certification after working in the corporate world for over 25 years. Her mission is the same today - to promote wellness and empowerment to others in their personal growth and healing.
Lori's experiences as a Trained Parent Advocate with the Federation for Children with Special Needs and her understanding of mental health challenges, carries through into her teachings. Lori believes that yoga is for EVERYbody. She strives to help beginner students feel successful and inspires experienced yogis to grow their practice. Lori's classes incorporate a mind-body-soul approach to breathing, functional movement and traditional yoga teachings in a way that is accessible, compassionate and relatable to ALL bodies and abilities. Being authentic and creating a relaxing, supportive and inclusive atmosphere for ALL participants is very important to her.
Lori is most proud of her role as a mother of two sons. They are a constant reminder to keep learning and evolving, to lead by example, to embrace stepping out of your comfort zone, to have compassion and to listen with understanding. When Lori isn't on her yoga mat, she's creating something artistic, enjoying the beach or spending time with her family and rescue pup, Ruby.
